ZF Friedrichshafen AG has developed specialized dashboards to visualize key figures relating to error messages in the areas of transmissions and drive concepts. These dashboards cover the products TraXon (truck transmissions), EcoLife (bus transmissions) and E-Mobility (new drive concepts). The aim of these dashboards is to provide developers, quality engineers and management with a basis of precise and relevant data on which to make informed decisions in order to optimize the software of the control units.
The large amount of data and different stakeholder requirements meant that users had difficulty fully understanding the information presented and maintaining a clear overview. This complexity reduced the acceptance of the dashboards and made it difficult to use them for data-based decisions.
Comprehensive Template for Dashboards
As part of a joint project, doubleSlash was commissioned to create the overarching structure of the various areas and develop a standardized template. Detailed interviews and workshops with the stakeholders were used to identify the key performance indicators that are of central importance to the quality engineers and developers. Subsequently, targeted optimizations were made to the key figures and dashboards in close coordination with the key users.
User-Oriented and Efficient Dashboard Design
The mentioned services fall under business applications and are specialized solutions tailored to address specific business challenges, such as data-driven mapping of the value chain for end-to-end component traceability.
To offer services on the Catena-X marketplace, they must comply with defined standards and criteria to ensure compatibility with other participants. Certification as a Catena-X solution is mandatory.
