Easily manage electric fleets - from the charging station to billing
Making charging stations accessible, charging vehicles and billing charging processes - at home and at work. How can a home and workplace charging solution for fleet vehicles be implemented?
We worked together with DCS to implement the requirements for home and workplace charging as a software solution.
Home and workplace charging: cost reimbursement for fleet vehicles
Home Charging
- The central requirement of an integrated home charging solution for company fleets is automatic cost reimbursement.
- Company car drivers can charge at their home wallbox and are automatically reimbursed for the electricity costs.
- This requires the detailed recording of charging processes with assignment via individual authorization.
- Charging stations are connected via the Charge Point Management System (CPMS) to the service of an eMobility provider (in this case Digital Charging Solutions GmbH), which manages charging contracts and individual electricity prices via an app.
- Cost transparency is ensured by the eMobility Service Provider, which clearly displays home and public charging processes in an app.
Workplace Charging
- Company cars should be able to charge at the employer's premises free of charge.
- Employees with private cars should be able to use the charging stations for a fee.
- Extended driver groups, guests and public charging outside of working hours should also be supported.
- The challenge is to develop a solution that covers flexible user groups, authorizations and price models as well as an individual display in the app.
- The charging stations are networked via the Charge Point Management System (CPMS) and integrated into the eMobility provider's solution.
- Flexible access and price management enables the implementation of these complex requirements.
With the support of doubleSlash, we were able to successfully implement our goal of extending e-vehicle charging from public areas to the home and workplace. By working together with the e-mobility experts in the Solution Design department at doubleSlash, we were able to quickly design a suitable, marketable solution. We will continue to tackle further exciting challenges in the e-mobility market together in the future. – Bernd Vollmayr, CPO at Digital Charging Solutions GmbH
Your partner for end-to-end software solutions in electromobility
doubleSlash supported DCS from exploration to go-live. This included the requirements analysis, the consolidation of use cases, the definition of core processes and the IT design, including the involvement of external partners and interfaces.
In the role of IT Product Owner, doubleSlash coordinated the implementation in close cooperation with the DCS development teams and realized a large part of the functionalities itself, including the IT documentation for the Home & Workplace Charging product.
Following the successful launch, DCS and doubleSlash continue to work together to expand the product functionally and technically and to bring it to other e-mobility markets.
