Products with ever-growing customization options and new sales channels present unique challenges for the technical advancement of product configurators. Users need an intuitive interface for seamless navigation, while the software must verify the feasibility of customer requests in real time and suggest alternatives if necessary. Additionally, the configurator must provide product visualization and accurate price calculations tailored to specific markets and legal requirements. In collaboration with BMW, we developed a resource-efficient and effective product configurator that fulfills all these demands.

Agile Digital Transformation of Business Processes

The project comprised the further development of the BMW vehicle configurator and the optimization of the associated processes, for example in data supply. In addition, we adapted the platform to a heterogeneously grown system landscape. The system is based on large volumes of product data on the one hand and numerous legal and market-specific rules on the other. In addition, many partners were involved, which had to be coordinated by our project management team. In this project, we were able to apply our expertise in the digitalization of business processes and logic as well as the agile Scrum method.
