doubleSlash and ZF Friedrichshafen AG have agreed a strategic investment: ZF is acquiring a 40 percent stake in doubleSlash. With this cooperation, ZF intends to further expand the area of vehicle networking in particular. doubleSlash has many years of experience in this area.

Last autumn, the two companies entered into a strategic partnership to work closely together in four strategic business areas: software development, networked products and services, product data management and enterprise information management (EIM), which provides digital support for organizational processes within the company.

"With doubleSlash, we have gained an extremely experienced partner in the field of vehicle networking," says ZF CEO Dr. Stefan Sommer. "Through this collaboration, we expect to find exciting new solutions to equip the cars of the future with an intelligent software architecture in line with our guiding principle 'See - Think - Act'. To achieve this," Sommer explains the involvement, "we are gradually covering the remaining blank spots in our technology portfolio."

doubleSlash had already successfully supported ZF in various software projects - including with state-of-the-art web technologies for user communication with the Advanced Urban Vehicle (AUV) concept car and the visualization of this interaction. These technologies make it possible to transmit data and signals reliably in real time. "This cooperation was a promising start," emphasizes doubleSlash Managing Director Andreas Strobel. "We are delighted to have gained a partner in ZF with whom we can consistently continue and further expand our existing strategy for the digitalization of companies and the networking of products." In the future, even more in-depth cooperation will be possible on the basis of the participation in an even more intensive "software partner" cooperation characterized by special confidentiality.

doubleSlash will continue to operate independently and autonomously on the market as a software company. "We are already very active in the automotive sector, which is not least due to the innovation leadership of this industry. The transformation to other sectors is an integral part of our independent expert strategy and will be continued in the future."
