Onboarding new employees is one of the most important phases in laying the foundations for successful collaboration. In fall 2023, doubleSlash presented its modular Onboarding 2.0 project. This concept, which goes far beyond the first day of work, has now been evaluated after the first few months of use in order to gather the experiences and impressions of new colleagues and module managers and to further develop the project.
Onboarding that connects and inspires
Onboarding 2.0 stands for an integrative approach that provides new team members with a structured and flexible introduction. In addition to the traditional introduction by the HR department and the in-house team, the concept includes extended modules on topics such as further training, innovation management, quality strategy and corporate social responsibility. "With Onboarding 2.0, we have created a program that brings our doubleSlash spirit to life and integrates new team members into our doubleSlash community from day one," says Carolin Kleemann, HR Officer at doubleSlash.
Authentic insights and continuous optimization
Feedback from the first few months shows that the new onboarding concept not only makes the settling-in period easier, but also actively contributes to the team culture. Module managers and participants report positive experiences made possible by onboarding.
Janine, IT project manager and module leader, emphasizes: "The staggered modules prevent an information overload and promote getting to know colleagues outside of your own team." Matthias, location manager Stuttgart and Karlsruhe, adds: "Onboarding 2.0 provides the perfect framework for communicating relevant topics in an appropriate manner and obtaining feedback at the same time."
Participants such as Christoph, Sales Consultant, and Fabian, intern in Software Development, confirm the added value of the program. "The onboarding model helped me to quickly find my feet and get to know doubleSlash and its employees," says Christoph. Fabian adds: "I felt part of the team from the very first moment, which was reinforced by the open and friendly atmosphere."
Future-oriented and collaborative
With Onboarding 2.0, doubleSlash is setting new standards in the area of employee integration and development. The continuous involvement of all those involved and the flexible design of the onboarding modules create an environment that not only welcomes new employees, but also actively integrates them into the corporate culture.
The experience to date and the consistently positive feedback confirm the success of the program and are an incentive to continuously develop Onboarding 2.0 further.
