"wissen was geht!" is a project of Wirtschaftsförderung Bodensee GmbH, together with numerous companies and institutions. This annual vacation event gives young people from the Lake Constance district the chance to find out about possible career paths for after school from attractive training companies in the region. The young people aged between 14 and 20 spend half a day in a company of their choice and can get an idea of everyday working life through guided tours and discussions with employees. The main aim is to help them find their way around the wide range of training occupations.
Yesterday, a total of 13 pupils visited doubleSlash. HR officer Leonie Hlawatsch, Sandra Ströhle, office communications clerk, IT trainee Micha Mailänder and system administrator Waldemar Gassmann gave the young people a tour of the company and presented the various job profiles at doubleSlash. Afterwards, the young people were able to get their hands dirty in a competition in which they were faced with the challenge of reassembling a computer.
A successful day at doubleSlash
The feedback shows that the young visitors really enjoyed their time at doubleSlash. "The presentation was very informative. To see how things work here," says Meike (17). 13-year-old Sina found the tour of the server room particularly interesting, "because everything is stored there, so to speak."
Leonie Hlawatsch is also enthusiastic: "The day with the young people was great! Almost all of them can imagine doing an apprenticeship or studying IT after today's visit." This includes 14-year-old Maximilian, who would like to start an apprenticeship as an IT specialist after school.
So yesterday was an exciting and informative day for everyone. And doubleSlash is particularly pleased to be able to make a contribution to promoting young talent again this year.
