From pilot project to permanent offering: the evolution of Workation at doubleSlash

How nice would it be to spend time with family and friends on a sunny beach in Spain or in the Alps and work at the same time? This is exactly the flexibility that doubleSlash offers its employees with the Workation program.

Following an enthusiastic response to the "WILA" pilot project, doubleSlash has established Workation as a fixed component of its benefits. Workation enables employees to move their place of work to a vacation location of their choice in the EU, the UK or Switzerland and flexibly combine work and vacation time.

It all started with the WILA pilot project

During the "WILA" pilot project, doubleSlash employees experienced a new dimension of work: working for a week in idyllic vacation apartments in Austria or Italy, surrounded by family, friends or colleagues. The response was impressive—The excellent organization and the carefully selected locations were particularly highlighted. Workation has proven to be the ideal combination of effective work and relaxing vacation.

The future of Workation at doubleSlash: an outlook

Now, permanent employees can work up to eight weeks a year in their personal paradise—in one go or split up. The freedom to choose both the vacation destination and the work/holiday ratio opens up new horizons. And if the dream location does not offer the necessary equipment, doubleSlash provides the right working environment.

"Our experience from the pilot project has shown us that Workation is a great way to combine work and leisure in a harmonious way. We firmly believe that this model not only promotes flexible working, but also contributes to a good work-life balance," says Julia Hensle from the HR department.

The company is looking forward to further developing the Workation offer together as a team, collecting feedback and thus constantly improving the program.
