This year, doubleSlash has succeeded in doing just that. Teresa Stier got to know the consulting and software company at "wissen was geht 2011" and started her training as an IT specialist a few days ago as a new member of the doubleSlash team. "During my visit as part of "wissen was geht", I immediately got the impression that everyone enjoys working here. The program and the discussions with the employees confirmed my decision to train in IT. I would recommend "wissen was geht" to anyone looking for an apprenticeship."
"The fact that Teresa became aware of us in this way confirms that we are on the right track with our young talent strategy. Events such as "wissen was geht", "Girls Day" and university fairs offer us the opportunity to talk to pupils and students in person. In this way, we can give them an insight beyond the job advertisements into how we work, what we offer and, above all, what the human environment is like at our company. This is important to us, because as an applicant you don't just decide on a job, but also on the company behind it," says Hlawatsch.
The doubleSlash team is focusing on software development at this year's "wissen was geht". As part of a programming competition, the young people learn small basics and get an initial idea of what software programming means. The practical exercise is supplemented by short presentations by doubleSlash employees from the company's various departments. The team is looking forward to spending the morning with the students - perhaps they will meet another future colleague in this group.
