Child poverty is a widespread phenomenon in Germany. The fact that there are also children and families on our own doorstep who are not on the sunny side of life is sometimes quickly forgotten. Even the economically strong state of Baden-Württemberg struggles with this problem, and children from the Lake Constance district are no exception. On the contrary: with the third-highest divorce rate in Baden-Württemberg, the Lake Constance district is well ahead. According to the latest family development report, more than half of single-parent households live in conditions close to poverty, and almost one in five families only has an income of less than 1,000 euros per month.
As a regionally based company, doubleSlash supports the Kinderstiftung Bodensee with a donation of 1,000 euros. The foundation has set itself the goal of supporting children from poor and disadvantaged backgrounds in their educational and development opportunities and shaping their living environments for the future.
Promoting fairness and equal opportunities

The Lake Constance Children's Foundation has established projects in the region that serve the development and support of children. These include the reading aloud network, a theater project, the action run and the annual Advent calendar campaign, in which regional sponsors provide non-cash prizes and vouchers
doubleSlash donates for the second time
"In the two years of its existence, the Kinderstiftung Bodensee has already reached many children in the Lake Constance region through projects such as the reading aloud network. This commitment would be unthinkable without voluntary work, which I represent as a trustee, as well as without donations. Endowments in particular, which flow directly into the foundation's capital, ensure the long-term financing of these valuable projects for children. I am therefore particularly pleased that doubleSlash GmbH has opted for this type of donation and for the Children's Foundation, because the best thank you is the smile of a child," said Marc Joachim, trustee of the Lake Constance Children's Foundation, at the cheque presentation.
doubleSlash had already donated to the Lake Constance Children's Foundation last year and this new donation underlines the relevance of the project.
