Recommended by employees: The Great Place to Work award

The "Great Place to Work" award is largely based on an anonymous assessment by the company's own employees. The positive ratings in terms of workplace culture, managers and working conditions are decisive for a good ranking in the competition. Companies that manage to satisfy their employees and create a positive working atmosphere therefore have a good chance of being successful in this competition.

Becoming a Great Place to Work with a strong team spirit

So what makes the best employer in Baden-Württemberg? Above all, cohesion and team spirit, promotion and further training as well as a working atmosphere with a real feel-good factor are decisive for the software company with locations in Friedrichshafen, Munich, Stuttgart and Karlsruhe. Together, open, sustainable and enthusiastic are the values that form the pillars of the company and are put into practice. The results of the Great Place to Work confirm this: doubleSlash achieves a team spirit score of 97%, while the industry average is 61%. The Trust Score Index of 94% also clearly exceeds the average score of 62%.

Creating prospects together

A strong team not only needs a strong foundation, but also the ability to look ahead. In addition to a strong foundation, the IT service provider attaches great importance to the individual training and development of its team members.

The Great Place to Work survey shows that almost 100% of employees rate the company's training and development opportunities positively.

"At doubleSlash, value is not only placed on a strong team, but also on individual development. Through internal and external training courses and workshops, every employee is encouraged to expand their skills and develop professionally. Our training opportunities are first-class and enable us to stay at the cutting edge of technology," says Michael, Lead Developer at doubleSlash.

One example of this is the internal training model "LEARN", which enables employees to proactively request training courses and workshops and thus take responsibility for their own development. The result is a transparent portfolio of training experience that can be used by all team members.

Project design as a team task

The individual development of employees is just as important to doubleSlash as their participation in the project design process. Groups of employees have successfully contributed to projects such as the new building in Friedrichshafen, which was inaugurated last year, the site expansion in Munich and the development of the new office in Karlsruhe from April 2023. The new office in Karlsruhe is located in the "SteamWork" building of the "GoodSpaces" group, just a few streetcar stops away from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. The testing of new benefits such as the WILA (work+vacation) workation model is also considered a team task and is implemented and evaluated jointly by all employees.

Quality time at the workplace

Teamwork at doubleSlash does not stop at work. Employees also share a common interest in leisure activities and organizing their breaks together. Whether in the recreation room, fitness room or social spaces - the premises at all locations offer plenty of space for this. The buildings and facilities also contribute to a working environment in which everyone feels comfortable. This was also confirmed by 99% of respondents in the Great Place to Work survey.

About Great Place to Work®

The consulting institute Great Place to Work® offers companies the opportunity to examine their own corporate culture and employee satisfaction. The competition consists of an employee survey, in which a Trust Index Score of over 70 percentage points must be achieved, and a description of the internal measures (culture audit). The categories of team spirit, credibility, respect, fairness and pride form the basis of the assessment. The results are then incorporated into a ranking and evaluated in various categories such as company size and sector.
