2021 will be a year of growth for the software company doubleSlash. Not only will the company be moving into new headquarters in Friedrichshafen at the end of the year –, but the location in Stuttgart, where the doubleSlash team works primarily in the field of connected mobility, is also expanding. The rental agreement was signed at the beginning of the year—and the premises in Oswald-Hesse-Straße in the heart of Stuttgart-Feuerbach are now ready for occupancy. "The decision to open a location in the state capital three years ago has paid off. We now have two teams of around 20 people working here in Consulting and Development," says location manager Matthias Sekinger.

Plenty of space for encounters

On an area of 640m², there is now enough space for 35 to 40 workstations and everything your heart desires: large offices, project areas and meeting rooms, parking spaces and the necessary infrastructure for events and customer visits. The highlight: a leisure room offers 40m² of "social space" with many opportunities to let off steam creatively and engage in sporting activities. Whether Playstation, table football or fitness equipment—here, colleagues were able to contribute and implement their wishes. The "look and feel" of the space utilization concept is strongly based on the Software Innovation Center (SIZ), which is currently being built in Friedrichshafen.

"I'm really looking forward to the new premises. The whole team was involved in the design. This enabled us to create a workspace where everyone feels comfortable and can work well," says Sekinger.

Furthermore, the shared office model was not what doubleSlash wanted for the future. "We want everyone in the doubleSlash team to have their own workplace and for there to be enough meeting areas. For us, this is an expression of appreciation and applies to all locations. The office is a very important place for our strong community—and we appreciate that all the more now in times of coronavirus," says Leonie Hlawatsch, Head of HR at doubleSlash.

Research labs and customer proximity

The new site will provide plenty of space for laboratories and project areas for developing and researching modern mobility. In close proximity to customers, doubleSlash will implement projects here that support automated driving—from pure networking to the expansion and development of digital services for vehicle users. The future at the new location is clear for Matthias Sekinger: "Our vision is to digitalize all vehicle-related processes at some point. We want to provide vehicle users with the best possible support—whether they are driving or need support. We work on this together every day."
