At doubleSlash, the motto for Christmas this year is "Sharing joy". "After opening a location in Stuttgart at the beginning of the year, we wanted to support an organization from this region for Christmas," says Matthias Neher, location manager in Stuttgart at doubleSlash. The software company is therefore donating 2,000 euros to the element-i education foundation, which has been supporting STEM projects for years. The abbreviation MINT stands for the specialist and educational fields of mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology.
doubleSlash pursues a strategy for young talent
doubleSlash attaches great importance to promoting young talent. Many of the current employees started out as interns or working students. "We are a software company, so naturally the promotion of children in the natural sciences is particularly important to us. We think it is important to awaken an interest in technology and computer science at kindergarten and primary school age and to facilitate an informal approach to these topics," says Matthias Neher. With the donation, doubleSlash is supporting STEM projects in daycare centers as well as the Education Foundation's Tinkerers' and Researchers' Day, which will take place for the sixth time in 2019. The element-i Bildungsstiftung also supports the pedagogical qualification of STEM experts so that they can work as career changers in daycare centers and elementary school. "The element-i educational foundation would like to thank
for the donation, also on behalf of the children," said Waldtraut Weegmann, founder and managing director of the element-i educational foundation, at the cheque presentation.
