Time to change course: The employees of the software company doubleSlash are serious about it. As every year, the Christmas party for more than 200 employees was on the agenda. But corona made it impossible to celebrate together. As a result, doubleSlash decided to make a donation of 10,000 euros to enable the reforestation of trees. The Treedom initiative will be able to plant around 1,000 trees in the coming year.
Nina Frei, HR Officer at doubleSlash, agrees with her colleagues at the company that the coronavirus crisis also has its upsides. In the case of doubleSlash, it has led to around a thousand young trees being planted. Instead of a Christmas party in Friedrichshafen.
"We collected suggestions for possible donation projects from our employees and then put them to the vote. The joint decision was made to donate the planned budget of 10,000 euros for the Christmas party to Treedom."
Sustainability, responsibility and preserving the planet
The employees of doubleSlash have thus decided to send a clear signal—for sustainability, responsibility and the preservation of our planet. "Values that doubleSlash also very consciously cultivates and implements in its daily work," says Nina Frei. The trees are planted on various plantations around the world—precisely where the Treedom initiative is currently in urgent need of support.
