Friedrichshafen, 13.01.2022—Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the software company doubleSlash can look back on a positive 2021 financial year—The team of around 260 people generated an increase in turnover of 5.5 percent to around 26.2 million euros
Networking products and services
"We can look back on a positive financial year. In the second year of the pandemic, our core business - the development and integration of software-supported and networked products and services - continued to develop positively. We were able to benefit from the fact that companies are increasingly turning to digital business models," says Andreas Strobel, Managing Director at doubleSlash.
"We are looking carefully into the future with regard to future economic and political developments and are entering the new year with cautious optimism. doubleSlash is positioned for the future in a competitive environment with outstanding specialist and technological expertise as well as powerful and value-adding software services. We are also aiming to expand our existing customer segments in the 2022 financial year in order to meet the high demand," Strobel continues.
Digital products for a better life
At all three locations (Friedrichshafen, Munich and Stuttgart), the doubleSlash team is working towards one goal: shaping digital value creation so that digitalization is not an end in itself, but creates benefits. This requires expertise in a wide range of areas: Data Driven Services, Connected Things, Connected Mobility and the billing of digital services, known as Subscription Management. doubleSlash also stands for automation throughout the entire software product lifecycle.
The company attaches great importance to research and development, driving innovation, promoting young talent and training employees. R&D investments are made on the basis of the long-term corporate strategy and form the foundation for future corporate growth. doubleSlash invested 6.1% of revenue in this area in the past financial year.
New premises in Friedrichshafen and Stuttgart
doubleSlash will continue to focus on organic growth in the coming years. To this end, a dedicated Software Innovation Center (SIZ ) has been created in Friedrichshafen, where up to 300 employees will find modern workplaces to develop the software of tomorrow. The building, which was specially designed for doubleSlash, promises a pleasant working and feel-good atmosphere.
The company also moved into new premises in Stuttgart in the heart of Feuerbach. Around 20 employees are already developing the field of networked mobility here. The space provides a home for more than 40 people.
At the Munich location, there are also plans to double the size of the premises in 2022 and to upgrade them to accommodate qualitative growth.
"We want everyone in the doubleSlash team to have their own workplace and sufficient space to meet and communicate. For us, this is an expression of appreciation and applies to all locations, regardless of our mobile office offering. The office is a very important place for our strong community—and we appreciate that all the more now in times of corona," says Leonie Hlawatsch, Head of HR at doubleSlash.
As in the past few months, ongoing recruitment is also planned for the coming year. The doubleSlash colleagues are looking forward to new software developers, software architects, project managers and IT consultants joining the team
Team spirit and sustainability as a recipe for success and a positive future
The long-term success of doubleSlash is a team effort. doubleSlash colleagues work together on projects and contribute in their role to the success of the company and our customers. "This is deeply rooted in our doubleSlash values culture. We are therefore very pleased that our colleagues will once again participate in the company's success this year with a bonus and that the employee shareholding company (dSMB AG), which was founded three years ago, will once again make a profit distribution. We are particularly proud of our strong growth in young talent. A total of 65 new trainees and students started in the fall. We have never had so many young talents," reports Leonie Hlawatsch enthusiastically. "We are already looking forward to accompanying them on their way to permanent employment with us and shaping the future of doubleSlash together with them."
