"From Idea to Business Model — How to Make Your IoT Project a Success" Was the Topic of doubleSlash's First SlashTalk of the Year

23. May 2016 | Monday

Representatives from numerous companies met at our branch in Munich on May 12, 2016 to find out about the latest trends and developments in the Internet of Things.

doubleSlash IoT slashTalk_From idea to business model - how to make your IoT project a success

The central questions that were examined in more detail on this evening were:

  • Which business processes do I want to optimize or redefine with the help of IoT?
  • Which technology should be the basis for this?
  • What business model should be behind it?
  • What added value can I offer my customers?

We had the pleasure of welcoming the following three guest speakers, who gave exciting presentations to get to the bottom of what is important for the successful implementation of IoT projects:

Jens Kulikowski, Technical Product Manager Software & Eco-System at Giesecke & Devrient GmbH, spoke in his presentation about how IoT enables new business models in industry.

Prof. Dr. Christoph Reich, Head of the Institute for Cloud Computing and IT Security at Furtwangen University, chose the topic "IoT projects as cloud solutions—where the journey is heading" for his presentation.

Robert Jänisch, founder of IOX LAB, primarily addressed the topic of "Rapid Prototyping" in his presentation.

The "connected car" showcase slashDrive served as an entertaining addition to the content. Based onAnki Overdrive , the technical foundations that enable autonomous driving and car-to-car communication were demonstrated.

The Lightning Talks are now a tried-and-tested presentation format at doubleSlash. The speakers have 5 minutes to get to the heart of a topic briefly and precisely. Three speakers from doubleSlash used this for the following topics:

  • IoT Process Optimization and Big Data—Danny Claus, Senior Business Consultant IoT
  • Game of Things—An answer?—Stefan Meyer, Senior Business Consultant IoT
  • Digital Business Modeling—Simon Noggler, Business Consultant IoT

In autumn, doubleSlash will host the next slashTalk under the motto "Digital Transformation in Sales and Marketing".
