doubleSlash relies on value-oriented leadership
Sabine Rossbach, Associated Partner at doubleSlash, and Leonie Hlawatsch, Human Resources Manager, presented doubleSlash's leadership culture . With the values open, sustainable, collaborative and enthusiastic, the IT service provider relies on value-oriented leadership—After all, people and employees are always behind every piece of software and digitalization: it takes team players who work together with customers to analyse requirements, design software solutions and program them. "Digitalization only works if people are enthusiastic about their job and feel comfortable with their employer, which is why our employees are our most important asset," says Sabine Rossbach. Due to the close cooperation with the customer, the software company defines itself not only by the quality of the end product, but also by the quality of the software development process. "The value system is the basis of the doubleSlash brand. The core of the brand is the trust we place in ourselves, our partners and our customers."
Leadership means exemplifying values
The managers at doubleSlash are also committed to these values: "In order to be able to anchor a brand and the value system within a company, managers themselves allow themselves to be measured against the values and they exemplify them," says Rossbach. "Values form the basis for our business decisions." Human Resources Manager Leonie Hlawatsch is also convinced of value-oriented management: "Values are the basis of our quality strategy, both externally and internally. Managers should be both professional and leadership role models. For this reason, our managers receive regular feedback through employee evaluation forms and a wide range of management development programs that allow them to continue their training and exchange ideas."
Attractive employer for the region
The management culture at doubleSlash was well received by all participants. Opportunities and challenges of value-oriented leadership were discussed with the participants in an open exchange. All participants were convinced that despite the challenges posed by a value-oriented management culture, the best results and goals are achieved in the end—because you should never underestimate the power of community . "After all, you can't ignore the feel-good factor and the fun at work, alongside the factors of money and prestige, to create a good working atmosphere," says one of the heads of the Lake Constance district office.
There were also some parallels between the Lake Constance district office and the software company doubleSlash. All the more reason for the software company to support the district administration office's junior management program and work together as a medium-sized employer to make the region attractive for employees.
