It has now become a tradition for doubleSlash Net-Business GmbH to award a prize to the best graduate in Software Product Management (SPB) at the Faculty of Computer Science's internal freshman welcome ceremony at Furtwangen University. Up to now, the best graduates from the previous first semester have always been honored. From this semester onwards, prizes will be awarded for the best undergraduate, which comprises the first two semesters.

This time, Florian Sauter received a prize worth 500 euros, which was presented to him by Nadine Kozima and Christian Schmid. Dominik Jung (General Computer Science) and Timo Bayer (Computer Networking) also received awards. They received their prize from the software company M&M. Congratulations to all award winners!

Computer science as a bridgehead

In his welcoming address to the approximately 150 first semester students, Dean Prof. Dr. Mohsen Rezagholi pointed out that computer science is an important bridging technology that has a decisive influence on our modern society in almost all areas.

Nadine Kozima and Christian Schmid were also able to celebrate with their doubleSlash colleague Andreas Hülzenbecher. He received the von Schoen Innovation Award from EGT AG for his master's thesis "In-Memory Database Systems - A Path to Real-Time Computing?" in the Advanced Computer Science course. The prize was presented by Rudolf Kastner from EGT.

HFU and doubleSlash Net-Business GmbH have been working together for several years. It was only in January that the Faculty of Computer Science founded its own industrial advisory board. doubleSlash is also a cooperation partner of the university here.
