Anyone who operates a fleet of vehicles manages a lot of vehicle data. However, as soon as their vehicles are on the road, fleet managers do not know what is happening to them—They lack important information about the whereabouts and condition of the vehicle. With the Telematics Service Platform (TSP) from doubleSlash, fleet managers or even companies that own their own fleet get exactly the information they need for efficient fleet management.

Quick and easy to integrate

The TSP is a web-based solution that makes it possible to provide vehicle status information in real time.
It is characterized by the fact that it can be easily integrated into the existing fleet management system landscape. Installing the hardware in the vehicles is also easy—and completely independent of the vehicle manufacturer.
All that is additionally required is a small telematics adapter, which is simply plugged into the diagnostic interface of each fleet vehicle. All new vehicles have been equipped with this standardized on-board diagnostics (OBD) interface for several years now. This plug—also known as a dongle—transmits the current vehicle and position data to the fleet management server using an integrated data SIM.

"For us, the focus is on usability and security. The telematics service platform is easy to use and provides users with the customized real-time data they need for efficient fleet vehicle deployment planning—and all this via secure data transmission," says Simon Noggler, Business Consultant at doubleSlash.

The most important functions for efficient fleet management

Proactive maintenance

The TSP enables proactive messages through live tracking, which announce upcoming service appointments and thus make vehicle scheduling easier to plan.

Economical driving
Driving behavior can be measured by transmitting consumption and speed values. Vehicle profiles, which can be created using these values, optimize consumption and vehicle wear and thus support a more environmentally friendly and safer use of the vehicle fleet. As a result, the risk of accidents and repair costs are reduced.

Logbook
An electronic logbook is also part of comprehensive fleet management. TSP's integrated online logbook automatically documents all journeys made. This is a considerable relief both for the employees and for the administration of the vehicle fleet.
