The competition is held annually by the Great Place to Work® Institute Germany together with the trade magazine Computerwoche and the industry association BITKOM. The assessment is based on an anonymized survey of employees. Topics relating to workplace quality and employer attractiveness are put to the test. "The award stands for credible management that works respectfully and fairly with employees, for a high level of employee identification with their company and for a strong team spirit," says Andreas Schubert, Managing Director of the Great Place to Work® Institute Germany.
Of the 112 participating companies, doubleSlash achieved 12th place in the 50 to 100-employee size category.
Knowledge transfer is a top priority at doubleSlash
The result shows: doubleSlash has been pursuing a successful workplace culture concept—for 15 years now - an attractive workplace culture with a feel-good factor and cross-company knowledge transfer. In addition to employee motivation, internal company events also ensure the transfer of knowledge beyond team boundaries. For example, a Meet & Eat takes place several times a month, where employees report on a topic from their day-to-day work or explain technical details over lunch. "Technology Days" are also held once a year. Here, workshops are offered by employees for employees to gain insights into a wide range of topics.
The software and consulting company scored particularly well in terms of working atmosphere, team spirit and fairness. In addition, employees appreciate the scope for creativity and decision-making that doubleSlash offers them.
Feel-good factor for juniors and professionals
"We are delighted to receive this award, which is a great confirmation of our corporate culture. Fun at work and an environment with a feel-good factor—that is just as important for a career starter as it is for an experienced expert. That's why we will continue to do everything we can to maintain this culture in the future. We are proud that we can also give potential new employees a taste of the doubleSlash team with the Great Place To Work award," says Leonie Hlawatsch, Head of HR at doubleSlash.
In the category "Germany's Best Employers 2015", 100 out of around 600 companies were honored. doubleSlash was able to secure 47th place here.
