IoT technology is currently experiencing its breakthrough. The broad networking of vehicles with the environment and new, service-oriented business models are just at the beginning of their development. Examples of this include autonomously driving vehicles or machines that think for themselves and predict their own service requirements. The greatest benefit of the Internet of Things comes from service. Even today, up to 70 percent of profits are generated with after-sales services.
Partnerships are becoming more important for companies
The implementation of such "networked business models" is challenging companies in a completely new way. Due to the increasing networking of objects, international partnerships are coming to the fore. This is because the bundled know-how and the various solution modules can ultimately be used to develop the best applications for the customer. For doubleSlash, these partnerships are a targeted addition that enables us to provide our customers with end-to-end offerings for their marketing and service departments. Our aim is to offer customers a seamless experience with intelligently connected products across the entire customer experience loop—from the purchase to the service process –.
Success story of the IoT partnership continues
doubleSlash is the oldest integration partner of the Axeda M2M platform in Europe. In recent months, the American company PTC has acquired the two leading M2M platform providers Axeda and ThingWorx, thereby broadening its position in the European market. PTC was previously mainly known in the CAD and Product Life Cycle Management environment. In the past, doubleSlash and Axeda have already implemented a number of successful customer projects; this success story is now to be continued with ThingWorx.
doubleSlash is assuming the role of overarching system integrator and is also an expert in the areas of M2M and IoT-specific process consulting and project management. We bring in-depth expertise to the partnership, particularly in the areas of connected cars and remote services. As a link, doubleSlash is responsible for ensuring that all components fit together in the end and that all suppliers involved can work together.
Joint specialist presentations on the possibilities of M2M and IoT
Last week, doubleSlash and ThingWorx gave a joint presentation at the BMW Group IT trade fair, offering an insight into the future of IoT technology and its use cases. doubleSlash presented project experience and specialist knowledge about connected cars and the benefits for other business areas.
