Despite the increased use of Mobile Office, we will be holding our popular employee bike donation campaign again from mid-April to the end of October 2020. Every participant gets on their bike as often as possible and diligently collects kilometers. For every kilometer ridden, doubleSlash don ates a certain amount to a good cause. This year, the support goes to the Stuttgart Children's and Youth Hospice. "In personal contact with the organization, we have found that the team is wholeheartedly involved and places great value on caring for the children and families," explains Nina Frei, responsible for health management. Another positive aspect of the campaign: contributing to the well-being of the employees. Especially now, it is important to encourage employees to exercise in the fresh air. "In the mobile office, it's easy to forget about exercise and very few people have the right seating options. It is therefore all the more important to pay attention to sport. It promotes health, strengthens the immune system and is just the right change of pace," says Nina. The common goal: to beat last year's mileage and stay connected. Every kilometer counts—"Let's cycle together to raise a nice sum of money for the organization!"
Cycling campaign does good for children in need
In 2019, with the help of the third warmest summer on record and a little tailwind, the campaign launched by the HR department under the motto "Together we can do more" was once again very well received by employees. The motivation: two cents per kilometer were donated to the TABALUGA Children's Foundation in Tutzing . A total of 67 motivated employees from 15 teams cycled over 62,500 kilometers—to work, on vacation and together as a team. And with success: doubleSlash has cycled around the world more than once or twice from Germany to Australia and back again.
2,000 euros for the TABALUGA Children's Foundation in Tutzing
"Every year we use the bike campaign to do something good," says Nina. The choice fell on the TABALUGA Children's Foundation in Tutzing, near Munich. A total of 1,250 euros was raised, which was then rounded up to 2,000 euros . Children and young people who are seriously ill, living without a home or who have been sexually or physically abused are taken in and enthusiastically cared for in the family-like residential group at the children's home in Tutzing. "We wanted to support the TABALUGA Kinderstiftung Tutzing to give children a foothold so that they can go through life with enthusiasm again," says Nina.
