Twice a year, our teams at doubleSlash organize a joint event to experience and strengthen team spirit outside of work. From archery and karting to snow biking, bowling and cycling –, everything the team likes is tried out. Afterwards, colleagues share their experiences with the entire company via the internal blog. Our team at the Munich branch got creative in a different way under the special conditions this year: #Clean-Up-The-Isar—together in the fresh air while clearing the banks of the Isar of garbage—good for the environment and good for the team. Because at doubleSlash, everyone is there for everyone else. Together as a team and with enthusiasm, we can do anything. As in our IT projects, we use resources responsibly and act sustainably, with an eye on the community.
15 liters of waste per team and a lot of fun to boot
The adventure began at the Reichenbach Bridge in Munich. Armed with gloves, bin bags, grabbing arms and masks, our doubleSlasher teams of two set off on the hunt for the garbage that had been left lying around. It was mainly beer mats, cigarette filters and broken glass that fell into the hands of our hard-working collectors. The results were impressive, with each team collecting around 15 liters of garbage. At the end of the day, our Munich team was rewarded with a cool drink and something tasty to eat.
"The team event was a lot of fun. We were out in the fresh air together in good weather and also did something sustainable," says Stefan Meyer, team leader at doubleSlash in Munich.
