26. June 2025 | Thursday

The close cooperation between Ravensburg-Weingarten University of Applied Sciences (RWU) and doubleSlash Net-Business GmbH is being further intensified. The software company from Friedrichshafen has been actively involved in university activities for many years—whether through specialist lectures, workshops or as part of the industry advisory board. The regular exchange between teaching and practice creates valuable impulses and enriches the training of future IT specialists—increasingly also with regard to data-based and intelligent systems.

Reliable partnership with impact

For doubleSlash, the cooperation with RWU is much more than just a networking project. The company regularly provides students with insights into the latest developments in software development, digital business models and modern technologies through a variety of formats such as practical seminars and joint projects. At the same time, doubleSlash is involved in the industry advisory board and contributes to the further development of the content of the degree courses. "The collaboration with doubleSlash shows how valuable the continuous exchange with practice is for our teaching —especially in dynamic disciplines such as Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence, where requirements and opportunities are constantly evolving," says Prof. Dr. Marius Hofmeister, Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Artificial Intelligence. Dr. Marius Hofmeister, Head of the Applied Computer Science course at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at RWU.

Content with practical relevance

Currently, doubleSlash is also supporting the appointment of a new expert for AI at RWU. The company is contributing its expertise from the corporate context to the relevant committee. In addition, two doubleSlash experts were recently part of the Artificial Intelligence lecture series at RWU, which focused on a wide variety of interdisciplinary facets of artificial intelligence. "Technologies are developing rapidly—so it is all the more important that education and practice remain closely interlinked," says Nico Zentner, AI expert at doubleSlash. "We want to help students get a feel for how modern software solutions are created and where the use of AI actually makes sense today."

A career with purpose: the doubleSlash employer brand

The company's commitment to RWU underlines the fact that promoting young talent is not a compulsory task—but a conviction. As a digital medium-sized company with a strong focus on meaningful technology projects, modern working methods and a value-based corporate culture, doubleSlash focuses specifically on dialog with young talent. Students and graduates not only gain access to practical insights, but also prospects for starting a career—for example through an internship in the practical semester.
