20 Years of doubleSlash — 20 Years of Digital Evolution

28. June 2019 | Friday

It has been 20 years since six engineers and computer scientists founded the Häfler consulting and software company doubleSlash in 1999. The vision of helping to shape the digital evolution and thus actively contributing to the future viability of companies and society has characterized the company from the very beginning. On June 28, the entire workforce and their families look back on the company's eventful history at a summer party.

20 years of doubleSlash

Shaping digital value creation

Just as the Internet connects people, doubleSlash stands for the combination of technology and benefits, but also for digitalization from the very beginning. In concrete terms, anyone looking for a letterbox or zip code does so with the Postfinder or zip code search, which doubleSlash developed for Deutsche Post ten years ago. And anyone sitting in a BMW electric vehicle, configuring one of the brand's vehicles for themselves or driving past a ZF wind turbine will experience technology from the IT company based at Lake Constance. Since then, many well-known customers have joined the company: Siemens, Telekom and Porsche are just a few of them.

The vision of helping to shape the digital evolution and thus actively contributing to the future viability of companies and society is still driving doubleSlash forward today. The company now employs more than 150 people at three locations in Friedrichshafen, Munich and Stuttgart.

This is set to continue in the future. Founder and Managing Director Konrad Krafft puts it in a nutshell: "In 20 years, the proportion of digital value creation will have increased significantly - on the one hand through a wide range of digital products and on the other through the continuous digitalization of internal company processes. We see it as our mission to shape this development sustainably with reliable, robust and cost-efficient software . Through first-class quality, we will ensure that software technology combines added value and benefits."

New building creates space for growth and a feel-good atmosphere

Just as digitalization is an evolution, doubleSlash will also continue to develop. In 2021, a software innovation center for around 260 employees will be built on the greenfield site between Trapp and the airport, creating the basis for growth and development in the coming years.

20 years of—a toast to the team and every reason to celebrate

There's plenty on offer at the big summer party on June 28: from game stations for young and old, a gaming corner, raffle, food trucks and deckchairs to company tours, employees and their families can have fun and get an insight into everyday working life at doubleSlash. A party rounds off the evening.

"It all started with a small team, and together we have grown. It's great to see that we can now celebrate our anniversary with a family party. We are proud of our very special company culture, which we would like to maintain and live by for the next 20 years," says Leonie Hlawatsch, HR Manager at doubleSlash. Appreciation for work done and a strong team spirit have characterized the company from the very beginning. This is also demonstrated by the repeated awards from the Great Place to Work industry competition and the founding of an employee shareholding company in 2018.
